Our Mission & Vision
Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith
We are a missionary diocese covering a land mass of around 430,000 square kilometers in northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Métis, First Nations of Cree, OjiCree, Dene and non-Natives make up the richness of a mixed culture. The territory west of James Bay was called “Keewatin” meaning “North Wind Blowing.”
Mission & Purpose
The Archdiocese of Keewatin-Le Pas wishes to provide a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all persons partaking in church activities. Trusting in the good will of all. Catholics believe that our baptism makes us members of the People of God and members of the faith community we know as the Church. The protection of children and vulnerable persons is part of the very mission of the Church. It enables all members of the community to practice their faith in a safe environment, confident
that all the faithful are committed to their protection and well-being
